1 John 3:1 See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
You can’t enjoy today if you’re worrying about the past or the future.
Your mind and your thoughts could be stuck in the past, continually thinking about what has already happened. If that’s the case, it’s best to get over it. The past has already happened; you can’t do anything to change it. Rather, you ought to trust God that he is working out those things for ultimate good (see Romans 8:28).
On the other hand, your mind could be stuck in the future, thinking about what might happen, what you fear will happen, and things you wish wouldn’t happen. However, being a person of faith requires trust—trusting God about the future.
Romans 15:13 says, May the God of hope fill you with all joy and pea as you trust in him.You’ll have joy and peace when you trust in God. Why? Because you’ll be able to rest and relax knowing that God has good plans in store for you (Jeremiah 29:11).
Don’t worry about the past or the future. Instead, have faith; trust God. When you trust God to help you learn from the past and provide for your future, you’re free to enjoy your life today.
As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love.

God the Father loves Jesus without any change. Take this for your comfort, that there is no change in Jesus Christ’s love to those who rest in Him. Yesterday you were on the mountain, and you said, “He loves me.” Today you are in the valley of humiliation, but He loves you still the same. On the hills and among the peaks, you heard His voice, which spoke so sweetly of His love; and now on the sea, or even in the sea, when all His waves and billows go over you, His heart is still faithful to His ancient choice.
The Father loves the Son without any end, and this is how the Son loves His people. You need not fear the prospect of death, for His love for you will never cease. Rest confident that even down to the grave Christ will go with you, and that up again from it He will be your guide to the celestial hills.
Do not set your affections upon things of earth, but seek those things that are above, for here the moth devours, and the thief steals, but there all joys are perpetual and eternal. The path of trouble is the way home. Lord, make this thought a pillow for many a weary head!
Matthew 11:25- “At that time Jesus declared, ‘I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children’;”
If you look at the context of this verse, you will realize that no one had asked Him a question and that He was not in conversation with any human being. Yet it is written, “Jesus declared, I thank you, Father.” When a man answers, he answers a person who has been speaking to him. Who, then, had been speaking to Christ? His Father.
This should teach us that Jesus had constant fellowship with His Father, and that God spoke into His heart so often, so continually, that it was not a circumstance peculiar enough to be recorded. It was the habit and life of Jesus to talk with God.
May we also enjoy silent fellowship with the Father, so that often we answer Him, and although our friends don’t know to whom we speak, we will be responding to that secret voice that they do not hear but that our own ear, opened by the Spirit of God, recognizes with joy.
God has spoken to us; let us speak to God! Intimate communion with the Father of our spirit is a great privilege! It is a secret hidden from the world, a joy with which even the nearest friend does not interfere. If we desire to hear the whispers of God’s love, our ear must be purged and fit to listen to His voice. This very evening may our hearts be in such a condition, so that when God speaks to us, we, like Jesus, may be prepared at once to answer Him.
